I'm pretty sure that most people love shotcuts, because it makes our lives easer. That's why I've put together a list of shortcuts so that you people can benefit from it too...
- To make text bold need to press Ctrl+b (together). To stop typing text in bold just press Ctrl+b again to start typing in normal text (the same goes for most of the shortcuts)
- To change text to Italics you need to press Ctrl+I.
- To underline text (no... unfortunately there is not shortcut) place a u inside <> in front of the word you want to underline and /u inside <> after the words you want to underline. These are html tags... which specify underline, you need to use html to underline text.
- Ctrl+z is the shortcut if you want to undo something. However this shortcut isn't that helpful in un-doing stuff.
- Ctrl+y is to redo.
- To put in a hyperlink first select the text then press Ctrl+Shift+a
- To save your post as a Draft you need to press Ctrl+d
- To publish your post you need to press Ctrl+s
- To preview how your post looks like (yes you can do that) just press Ctrl+Shift+p.To hide the preview just press Ctrl+Shift+p again.

Thanks for the underline tip :)
ReplyDeleteThis was the first search result when in googled:
underline in blogger
I would like to echo the previous commnent.
ReplyDeleteThe underline tip was very straightforward and exactly what I was looking for.
It was the first result in Google for me too.
Thank you.
Agree with the other two...an alternative site recommended something rather more complicated for underlining.
ReplyDeletecheers to this. I used it AND it worked. no way...
ReplyDeleteDitto to all. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteJust want to say thank you for putting this in layman's terms! ("for 'dummies' ")

The first site i checked was really difficult - it was actually for writing code in the formatting section of the template, or something.
I had just guessed, and tried typing out the whole word, (which obviously didn't work) since i had just mastered the strike "move".
Thanks again, for empowering the people - and for free, no less! :)
How do you get rid of the tag that keeps interfering every time you want to make something bold. Out!
